Rampage (2018): Monster Mayhem

7.2/10Rampage
Monster Mayhem

As our charismatic lead, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, flexes his monumental acting muscles, were thrust into a plot as intricate as a coloring book. In this city-leveling rollercoaster ride, science takes an extended vacation while oversized genetic experiments romp around like Godzilla at a disco. If overblown devastation married ludicrous CGI, their toddler would be Rampage.

Romeo + Juliet (1996): LoveBound Disaster

7.4/10Romeo + Juliet
LoveBound Disaster

DiCaprio exudes Shakespearian street cred while in grungy Hawaiian shirts, giving us a Romeo born out of MTV Beach House rather than any Italian tragedy. Danes gives us a wonderstruck Juliet, grappling with a crush so intense she could selfie it. Together, they swap Elizabethan dialogues like teenage text messages – star-crossed lovers or hormone-ravaged teenagers deciding where to eat, you decide.

The Purge: Election Year (2016): Democrazy Nights

7.1/10The Purge: Election Year
Democrazy Nights

The Purge: Election Year is about as subtle as a chainsaw and twice as loud. Its the cinematic equivalent of that friend who screams surprise! at their own birthday party.

21 (2008): Blackjack Breakout

7.4/1021
Blackjack Breakout

Now, I know what youre thinking – maths and casinos, isnt that just risking expulsion and a criminal record for a bit of extra credits? Well, indeed, but what is life without a little risk, especially when accompanied by some dazzling Vegas lights and a smooth-talking professor that makes geometry sound scandalous. So, get ready to drop all your preconceptions at the blackjack table and resist the urge to fact-check every probability thrown at you.

Rampage (2018): Chaos Unleashed

7.2/10Rampage
Chaos Unleashed

Ironically, the gorilla named George is the most likable character in this glorified B-movie. Dwayne The Rock” Johnson is magnetic, sure, but I found myself living in this parallel universe where Im guessing the one-liners of a CGI primate. Villains?

I, Tonya (2017): Icecapades Scandal

8/10I, Tonya
Icecapades Scandal

Margot Robbie laces up as Tonya Harding with a performance so fiery it almost burns a hole in the ice. She barrels towards disaster with the grace of a freight train, all while nailing the art of the scorned underdog. Just imagine Cinderella, if her glass slipper was a steel-studded skating boot, swapping the pumpkin carriage for a clumsy conspiracy.

The Giver (2014): Amnesia Alms

7.3/10The Giver
Amnesia Alms

In a world where pain, love, and even temperature are controlled (or a vision of 2020 on steroids), The Giver tosses you an apple – literally – of chaotic emotions. The powers-that-be have banished differences quicker than your local council kills off any sign of nightlife. But our hero, Jonas, played by Brenton Thwaites with the profundity of a really deep, deep.

Despicable Me 3 (2017): Minion Mayhem!

7.2/10Despicable Me 3
Minion Mayhem!

Despicable Me 3 waltzes onto the screen with all the grace of a one-legged unicorn; slightly wonky but undeniable magic. The film serves abundant villainy, wrapped in bubblegum aesthetics, seasoned with the hilarity of those banana loving yellow nuggets, better known as the Minions. It’s a bald-headed cocktail of family fun, madcap antics, and 80s nostalgia – a cherry-topped sundae that plays dangerously close to diabetes.
